Whilst writing this post I’ve decided in my head that I’m going to set a goal of attending an E3 show over the next few years! Every year I usually live stream the event and sit there in amazement at some of the things getting released and reviewed. Whats even better is the amount of demo stands where you can literally just go play all the new games or consoles well before they’re even released! I suppose the developers need to get feedback somehow, and what better way than to let true gamers play them!
I’m going to round up my Top 3 things from E3 2016 that really got me excited the most. Im not going to lie, pretty much everything about E3 got me all like WOW, OMG, WTF but these are like my stand-out three games/consoles I will 110% be purchasing and playing over the next year!
3 – Playstation VR
I don’t actually own a Playstation 4, as I opted for an Xbox One back on day one when they initially launched. I used to be a huge gamer in my early teens, however I’m now more on the fence and a casual gamer. The latest VR offering from Sony however has had my ears pricked up since the rumours started. I’ve always been interested in VR ever since the original Oculus Rift launched. Playstation VR which looks set to launch in October will more than likely see VR fired into many homes across the world by Christmas. It’s set to launch with a great array of games alongside Sony’s Playstation 4 and I can’t wait to get my hands on a PS4 Console and the VR set.
2 – Fifa 17
I’ve always been a fan of the Fifa series ever since around Fifa 95 being my first memory of owning the game. Back when Indoor soccer was an option and it was on the Sega Mega Drive. I’ve followed EA Sports franchise over the years and I’d hate to know the amount of hours i’ve consumed playing Fifa. My college and university days consisted of Fifa, Fifa and more Fifa. I’d play endlessly online till 4am onwards competing with players from around the globe. This new storyline mode featuring Frostbite technology looks set to take the game by storm. Everyone loves a good storyline, and this gives a whole new dimension to Fifa away from the standard Ultimate Team mode which has been popular of late. As a Middlesbrough fan, it’ll be nice to see the boys up in the Premier League once again and from what I know, all Premier League stadiums are featured within the game fully. This means that we will see the Riverside Stadium in all its glory thanks to the amazing Frostbite engine. Come September 29th I can assure you i’ll be playing the new storyline mode featuring an upcoming player by the name of Alex Hunter and trying to win that trial to play for a Premier League Club! I can’t wait to experience the ups and downs of this new Story Mode feature and I hope that EA have the ability to constantly change and develop this storyline via Updates or Downloadable Content.
1 – Crash Bandicoot Remastered
As soon as I spotted Crash Bandicoot on the big screen, I was already looking at prices of buying a Playstation 4. Crash Bandicoot brings back so many happy childhood memories. The fact that they are not only bringing back one crash game but three is just amazing. Activision who still own the Crash Bandicoot license have agreed with Sony to bring back three games. The three games we will get to play will be Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. The only downside is that we have to wait until 2017 apparently to get our hands on this collection. I’m hoping that we may still see a 2016 Christmas Release, which would make so much sense on a financial level as I can imagine sales would go through the roof. Either way, whenever Crash Bandicoot remastered is launched it’ll go down a storm I’m sure!
Thats my general roundup from this years E3 and the three things that got me going the most. Did any of these three things get you going crazy, or is there something else from E3 that you’re looking forward to the most? Let me know in the comments below
