In less than 4 days all eyes will be on Rio for just over two weeks. The Olympics is finally back on our screens. To me it only seems like yesterday that the focus was on London for the 2012 games.
God knows how some of these athletes can perform in the scorching heat in Brazil but good luck to every single one of them!
There’s quite a few events that I’m looking forward to watching, but I can guarantee that the Wife will walk in and just change it to the Gymnastics. For me its all about watching Usain Bolt, granted he’s not Team GB but who doesn’t love someone that eats a box of McDonalds Chicken Nuggets before winning the 100M Gold Medal!? Legend.
How many times are we going to see the “MOBOT” celebration. I still remember this celebration being created on A League of their Own!
Where I think Team GB could smash it!
The swimming will definitely be on in the Crumbles household. Who doesn’t like a bit of Tom Daley, but lets hope that it doesn’t end up like some of the flops on Splash and we end up with a Gold!
I feel like I’m going to have a bit of a soft spot for the Cycling after I’ve driven past London’s Velodrome so many times this year alone! Sir Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish and Chris Froome all in the same category. Okay so maybe I’m a bit too much of a geek when it comes to this but I like to know all the details haha.
I’ve really got into boxing after seeing Mayweathers final fight in Vegas. I reckon we will pickup around 3 medals and with Nicola Adams leading a strong Team GB boxing line-up things are looking good.
The other events I will be looking out for are the Tennis, Andy Murray will surely look to retain his Gold Medal he won in London 2012. Also, the return of Golf after a very long absence; Justin Rose and Masters winner Danny Willett head the line for Team GB.
I’m really looking forward to the Olympics. Im a very passionate viewer and always get behind Team GB in whatever event they’re competing in. Whether its Table Tennis or Gymnastics I will be one of many #Superfans.
How well do you think Team GB will do at Rio!? Let me know in the comments below and give this video a watch if you want a catchy Team GB song that’ll be stuck in your head all day
