Where do you start with a breathtaking Villa in one of the most scenic places in the Balearic Islands! Finca Cuxach in Pollenca has everything you can want and then more. The team at Travelopo pulled out all the stops to ensure our stay here was simply relaxing.

As we were actually arriving on a Ferry from Barcelona rather than flying into the Airport, we drove straight to Pollenca and were allowed to enter the Property from our early 6am Ferry docking. This made our first day so relaxing as we were initially panicking about where to spend several hours before picking up the keys to the Villa. The check-in process was so seamless. It was a simple case of arriving at the property and collecting the keys from a safety drop-box with the pin code provided from the Property Managers at Travelopo.
From opening the big steel gates you could tell already the attention to detail was exceptional. Lights illuminated the long gravel driveway which in the distance you could see a beautiful stone farmhouse.
It’s listed as sleeping upto 6 people, however it’s exceptionally large and would hold six very comfortably. It’s not your usual setup where everything feels cramped in, it’s light and airy with plenty of communual spaces.
Outside the Villa
Outside the Villa you’ve got two Tables both under canopy which gives you a slight break from the sun during the day (It’s always advisable to take a few hours out the Sun in the Summer months). Six loungers to space evenly around the pool and catch the rays during the day, what more do you need!? The swimming pool was warmly received after we had been travelling around Europe in the Car, it was nice to get a few lengths in the pool each day. The laundry room was a nice touch allowing us to quickly get through a few loads of clothes in no time.
A stay in a Villa is always complete with a traditional brick BBQ. We took full advantage of this one and coupled with the fact theres a Lidl & Eroski supermarket within a two minute drive of the Villa we couldn’t of been in a better location. The full outside setup was exceptional and catered for every eventuality and it was nice to just unwind on an evening with an Ice-Cold beer by the pool!
Inside the Villa
Inside the Villa you can tell the owners haven’t left a stone untouched. From the moment you walk through the double arched doors you are greeted with white washed walls matched elegantly with dark oak beams. Across the property the owners have left several mallorcan touches with fine pottery and paintings whilst keeping a simplistic feel. The main living room is open plan with a breakfast bar looking onto the kitchen. An Induction hob, large oven and fridge freezer ensured we had everything to knock up a spanish treat during our stay!
There was a TV and DVD Player inside the villa but we were too busy exploring Mallorca and enjoying the pool to take advantage of watching any television but its great to know if you came as a family the kids could be kept entertained on a night-time with either that or the WiFi that covered pretty much all of the floor space and outside. One thing we always look for when travelling is somewhere with WiFi and this didn’t let us down (albeit our YouTube weekly vlog went up slightly late).
On the ground floor you had two rooms off a side corridor, with a Double bed in one and two singles in another. At the end of this side corridor was the downstairs bathroom with a large his and hers sink, bath and a shower!
On the top floor was the Master bedroom and EnSuite. This loft style setup had stunning views over the outside swimming pool and surrounding countryside. It didn’t take us much to decide which double bed to opt for! The master bedroom with EnSuite it was. The little ducks on the white washed stairs in here was a nice little touch as believe it or not it was the theming we actually had at our Wedding, so we instantly felt at home.
Our trip to Pollenca, Mallorca was simply out of this world! It certainly was a perfectly timed stop off during the thousands of miles we’ve been covering on the road during our Euro Trip and would without a doubt recommend Travelopo if you’re looking for a Luxury Villa in Europe!
